Jean-Claude Gallota animates the words of François Sagan’s Bonjour Tristesse, a 188-page novel that caused quite a scandal in its time, and which earned her a place among the great writers of the 20th century. On stage, three dancers bring the protagonists of this literary success to life: a carefree teenager, Cécile, does everything she can to drive a wedge between her nonchalant father and Anne, his newest companion. In this sensual and elegant choreography, bodies intertwine and unravel in a whirlwind of consuming emotions against the backdrop of rock and the blues. The ballet plunges into the bittersweet cruelty of love between two people and three… A free-spirited dance full of passion and poetry.
